This is one of a number of views over the area, taken with medium too strong telelenses. To get a better view I climbed on the wall to a decent height.

What you see here is Armenia itself, across a gorge. I haven't got a clue what they are doing, are they levelling the terrain to build something (which would be vandalising a great view), are they quarrying stone too use elsewhere (the scars might heal)?
