This is the Davut Paşa Mosque, dated by an inscription as being from 1485. The founder was Grand Vezir under Sultan Beyazit II. It has a very shallow dome, which is rightly praised in the guide Strolling through Istanbul; Redhouse. Also “the pendentives of the dome are an unusually magnificent example of the stalactite form, here boldly incised and brought far down the corners of the walls.” The guide complains a restoration is urgently needed, in 2006 I found it had been executed.

I'm not sure when exactly this mosque was built, but it looks like a pre-classical era mosque. And I'd like to correct a little thing. You say: "the pendentives of the dome are an unusually magnificent example of ..." However, there are no pendentives in this mosque, if we should be technically correct. That's why there are those stalactites, a more primitive way of achieving the transition from the circular dome to the rectangular base.
