Hasankeyf Kizlar Camii 2175

The town has two ruins of what must have been fine mosques, the best preserved of which is the Kızlar (or women / madens ) mosque. A notice indicates it was built in the 13th century (but I have the feeling the 14th is meant, else the Ulu Camii from 1325 couldn't be the oldest) in the Eyyub period. The same notice is was a mausoleum rather than a mosque (but then why name it a cami or mosque?).

The minaret is of the same high quality as the El Rizk mosque.

I noticed that some system of double layers had been used for the roof. I don't know why, maybe to build a strong construction using lighter material, or for isolation? Any architects out there?
