The uniform this young recruit wears is for a "gendarme" which for all I know is not quite a soldier. However, it's pretty close. I have often seen - and sometimes photographed - youngsters in these uniforms. In any city you will see one or more stores selling them, along with guns for kids, and sometimes school uniforms or, as the case may be, toys and school stuff. No harm intended, and none taken, by me that is.
