This picture represents the - otherwise not interesting - village of Kilitbahr nicely: you are almost certain to go either up- or down-hill. Oh, lest I forgot: the cemetery is pleasant, if you like those things, with good views from some of the graves over the straits, nice shady trees. It's, of course, up the hill.
Klit Bahir (Lock on the Sea) was built in 1452 under Mehmet the Conqueror (as was the fortress on the other side). I use the name indiscriminately for the fortress and the village, maybe mistakenly.
