In a superstore near my hotel I came across this strange figure of a man. When I took the picture I was told that was forbidden. The shop had tight security, one had to pass through one of those loops that detect metal. The alarm would sound at almost every customer, and the guard would wave them through regardless. I have similar experience at the Yalova ferry, the Ankara bus station and at many other occassions. I don't much care, not being easily frightened, but I wonder what's the use of spending all that money on equipment and people, and then disregard the signals.
