Above the entrance to the esonarthex is a mosaic from the mid-tenth century AD of Maria with the Christ child – blessing - on her lap. On her right is Constantine the Great, on her left Justinian, respectively offering models of the city and the church.

Hi Osseman,

Your pictures are great.

Just a little correction. This mosaic can be seen at the exit and nowadays the entrance is from the west side of the museum. I just want to help the people visiting Ayasoyfa not to look for this mosaic at the entrance in vain.
