Datca is alright, but I don't particularly like those parched islands (or coasts for that matter) of this region. For historic sites in good condition it's generally much better than the Black Sea region, and you get a tan quicker, but for the rest I prefer the Northern and Eastern parts of Turkey. Also, though I like to swim, so am not averse to water, I consider boats to be just mean of transport, so I am not into yachting and all that. Nevertheless, it was a fine trip with a taxi from Datca to Knidos.
