When in the poor district in the heart of Naples people there used to warn me "beware with all that equipment, there are many thieves here". I told them I was from Amsterdam and, working with the addicted, was somewhat street-wise, but thanks anyhow. The same thing happened here, in the gypsy district of Bursa. Very friendly people, but their neighbours .... I told some of them I knew their fellows' districts in Edirne, Iznik and they loved me for it. I still have all my equipment.
