I was walking near Süleymaniye when I noticed people dancing in the streets. I asked if this was a wedding, but no, it was election time, and they were waiting for what was shortly to follow: a minibus, with very loud music playing an upbeat song, and some electioneer shouting slogans. For a couple of minutes, maybe ten, it was a small carnival, then the car moved on. Later some people told me this was a bad party, bad for the people. But the music was great.
