Gülruh Hatun Türbesi
Gülruh Hatun was a wife of Beyazit II, she ordered the building of her mausoleum when alive. She died a few years after it was built in 1527. Hand-drawn ornaments inside are some of the best examples of the period’s calligraphic work in terms of colours, design and composition. Plastered over and covered with baroque decoration they were brought to light again during a 2013 restoration and are shown now. Four tombs inside contain the remains of Gülruh Hatun, Kamer Sultan, daughter of Beyazid II, Fatma Sultan, daughter of Prince Alemshah, and Osman, son of Kamer Sultan.
