I pay a lot of visits to museums, and have been doing so for well over 50 years. Increasingly I get annoyed with the texts introducing an exhibition or “explaining” some individual work. The reason being that the authors cause me a mental overload with their philosophical “Deutung” (“analysis, interpretation” and a whole lot more that only a German philosopher will be able to, well, deuten) of the works. So also with the exhibition of works by students of the faculty of fine arts of Hacettepe University, called "Shaken image". I wonder how many hours these poor students spend on philosophy, economics, anthropology, meditation and similar so they can finally create their representations of fracture points. I was stirred by some works, not shaken by most. I here show some I found to my liking. The introduction I could do without.
