The Roman theater, as seen from the north end of the acropolis of Selge.
The theater is dated from the 2nd century AD (Roman era) and was restored a century later. It is about 80 m wide and could hold some 9500 people. Most of the cavea (seating section) was cut out in the mountain slope.
It had four entrances for the spectators; two of them can be seen on this picture.
