Archery stone erected in the name of Hüsameddin Ağa. The marble stone was erec ted in 1789 in the name of the chief coffee maker of Sultan Süleyman in remembrance of his 654 m record shot, made with a North-northeast wind. A poem by Sultan Selim III translates as: “God blessed Hüsameddin Ağa, good chief coffee maker of sultan who achieved his target. He took his bow and made an effort to succeed, although he did not practice enough this winter. He achieved his target with the help of God and surely deserved the appreciation of God. All of the master-archers congratulated him, I declared the date with special letters. Ilhâmi (Sultan Selim III) told the date with the help of four caliphs. Erected a good stone on this glorious field. Year 1203 from Hagira of honourable and compassionate Prophet Mohammed. The poor man, prayer, Mehmed Es’ad-ûl Yesâri, God bless him.
