Excavated from the Big Tumulus in Gordion (which is a royal Phrygian tomb).
[Do note: though found in a Phrygian tomb I transferred this object to the Urartian sub-gallery because of where it was made - D.O.]
Made from a single piece of hammered bronze. Around the mouth are four cast human-headed birds set opposite one another.
