From the web: "Konya Kapı Cami-Konya Gate Mosque is located in down town where one of the old castle's gates was here in old times so it is known as Kapı cami and it is just a few yards away from Aziziye mosque. The mosque was built one of the Rumi's grandsons named Sheikh Hussein Chalabi in 1658 and it was ruined later and then it was rebuilt the mufti of Konya Seyyid Abdurrahman Effendi in 1811. Unfortunately the Kapı mosque was destroyed by a big fire with all the shops around in 1867 so it was rebuilt in 1868 of which still remains. All this information is written on the inscription above the main entrance. It is one of the biggest Ottoman mosques built in Konya with ashlars having three gates, one in the middle and two are the sides. The mosques has 8 domes with a wooden top and the altar & pulpit were made from stone & wood."
