The Şemsi Ahmet Paşa Külliyesi (complex) with mosque, medrese (school), türbe (mausoleum) and hazire (walled in graveyard). This mosque is one of the smallest to be commissioned by a Grand Vizier in Istanbul; however it is its miniature dimensions combined with its picturesque waterfront location which have made it one of the most attractive mosques in the city. Designed by Mimar Sinan in 1580; the great architect was then 90 years old.
