Kozan sept 2008 5061.jpg

I was told this old house, formerly belonging to an Armenian family, on the flank of the hill that holds the castle had been restored to serve as a “butik” (boutique) hotel. I have a certain dislike for that name, since it often implies that a run of the mill hotel put in some antique-looking bric-a-brac and raised the prices by 40%. I have been driven out of two of my favorite hotels is Istanbul, them going “butik”. However this particular Kozan house is really impressive (and people told me it would be “ucuz” (cheap). I wonder). Please let me know when it really opens and what the prices are. It was to open in October, people who work the local newspaper told me, however, none of the people who worked at the hotel-to-be knew. Staff is always the last to hear of changes, is my personal experience also. I took a sneak-preview and liked it a lot.
