The entrance of the Selimiye Mosque complex. The Selimiye (built under sultan Selim II (1560-1574) is next to the Mevlana Museum complex.

Mosques often have carpets, strengthened with leather, covering the entrance, you have to lift up one side and enter. They can be very heavy, it is an efficient way of keeping the heat out (or in winter to keep warmth in). This is such a carpet.
