The Harem has an entrance in the Second Court.

In 2017 I paid a long overdue repeat-visit to the harem. The entrance had changed, I here present pictures mainly in the order of that later visit, adding some older (and worse) pictures when relevant. The remaining old ones are at the end. The harem was being restored, so I probably missed some important sights. Remember that a harem in essence is no more than the private quarters of the sultan. Huge crowds of eunuchs and sultans wives were not a necessary ingredient, although for some times they were.
