These pictures are the ones I took during a stay in December 2008. I took some more in the museum, that I will publish separately.

I have not yet decided if I will arrange these pictures with the ones already in my Gaziantep gallery, or keep them as one group. They are a bit haphazard, but kind of stick together because they show what one may see just walking the streets of that town, not hunting for the major sights. As usual I took some pictures that have no pretense of being “nice”, they just show what life is like in this city, that has, like all cities, better parts and worse, fine parks and ugly backstreets. An ancient Jewish house now serving as a bar, or a building site for a new shopping mall (thanks for the permissions to get inside). I stopped apologizing to people who tell me “this is not my town”, I assure you: it is.

Adding captions I certainly will try, but right now I’m mainly busy editing pictures. If someone recognizes a particular spot: please write a comment that I will show as a caption, maybe after some editing by me.
