I wanted to walk to a spot where, down a deep gorge, Roman carved figures are visible, called Adamkayalar. The Lonely Planet guide advised me not to go alone, but as I almost always travel alone and seldom run into trouble I thought I could easily climb down and take them pictures. When I arrived at the actual spot I found this was not the case. My backpack with almost 10 kilos of equipment tended to topple me down one of the steepest climbs (no steps to speak of, nothing to hold on to except the rock itself) I ever encountered. I pondered this predicament, and decided against climbing further down. I may return sometime and see if I can walk up the dried river bed I saw when looking down. Or bring a rope, whatever.
On my way to and from the coast I took some pictures of ancient buildings, a church, a tower. Using View Map you can see where I took them.
