I spent about a week in December 2007 in Istanbul, which gave me some opportunity to just stroll through some areas that are not particularly interesting, but just nice. These pictures show such a stroll, I added them to the Yediküle gallery because that is the most impressive landmark. I will add some captions later, there is not much to mention.

Some viewers may wonder about the cattle trade I show: it was shortly before the Kurban festival, when the sacrifice of Abraham is remembered. So all over town (and the country) cattle was sold. And why all of a sudden do I show three churches? Well, it was a Sunday morning, and then some came out of their hiding behind a wall.
