I spent about a week in December 2007 in Istanbul, which gave me some opportunity to just stroll through some areas that are not particularly interesting, but just nice. These pictures show such a stroll, I added them to the Yediküle gallery because that was what my walk centred on. They show the nearby district, as well as some views from its outside.
Some viewers may wonder about the cattle trade I show: it was shortly before the Kurban festival, when the sacrifice of Abraham is remembered. So all over town (and the country) cattle was sold. And why all of a sudden do I show three churches? Well, it was a Sunday morning, and then some came out of their hiding behind a wall.
