Şevlik is a small beach resort not far from Samandağ, and is not far from Antakya. It's main claim to fame is a tunnel, dug by the Romans, to prevent flooding. I returned to the region in December 2008, and decided to walk from Samandağ, so the series now starts with some pictures of that town, then the walk (a delight, little traffic, a stiff cold wind blowing, but all around the bright colours of a clear sky and a winter sun), including some views from the nearby hills, and finally the first series from Şevlik. On earlier visits I had overlooked some rock graves, also from Roman times, and in 2008 I did take some pictures of them, not many, but well, better than nothing.
