The Kale Tepesi, the Fortress' Hill, holds a large fortress, that inside part of its walls holds a museum about the struggle the city went through.

For some reason I did not give the building itself a sub-gallery of its own, but here at last it is. From the Wikipedia: "Gaziantep Castle, is a castle first built by the Hittite Empire as an observation point and later built into a main castle by the Roman Empire on top of a hill in the center of Gaziantep, Turkey in 2nd and 3rd century AD. It underwent further expansion and renovation under Emperor Justinianus between 527 and 565 AD. " As the hill towers over much of the city I add lots op pictures taken from it (so not actual pictures of the fortress). In 2019 I found that several of the vantage points I used earlier were "too dangerous", so some pictures cannot be taken now.
