Booted Eagle is scarce to locally common during migrations, and a rare but regular winter visitor, especially so in Sicily. It is also an irregular summer visitor to some regions in south Italy, and a first breeding is expected soon (Sicily, Puglia). In Tuscany, Massaciuccoli lake is an irregular wintering site, sometimes with a few birds.
