Paris
The Hotel Alma (right) where we stayed in Paris. It is in the 7th arrondissement and a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower.
The Eiffel Tower from our hotel room. The Tower is 1,000 feet tall, covers 2.5 acres and was never meant to be permanent.
Judy in le Champ de Mars (a park) with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
Richard in le Champ de Mars & Eiffel Tower. 7,00 tons but exerts same pressure, per sq. inch, on the ground as a person.
The "guts" and an elevator of the Eiffel Tower. The Tower looks delicate from afar but imposing close-up.
Riding on the elevator of the Eiffel Tower. The lines were too long to ride to the top, so went part of the way up.
Le Champ de Mars from the Eiffel Tower: Park was parade ground for France's Military Academy - 18th c. building in background.
