London: Judy on a tour bus
London: We stayed here at the President Hotel located near Russell Square.
Big Ben (1858) - above the Houses of Parliament. England's largest clock. Big Ben refers to the bell - struck every hour.

Judy at Westminster Abbey (11 cent., Gothic): Resting place for England's monarchs & setting for coronations.
St. Paul's Cathedral (late 17th & early 18th centuries): The dome is one of the highest in the world

British Museum: Oldest museum in the world (1753). Saw Rosetta Stone (196 b.c.e.) & lots of art work from ancient civilzations.
Charles Dickens' house: While living here (1837 to 1839), Dickens wrote Oliver Twist, Pickwick Papers and Nicholas Nickleby.
Tate Gallery: Saw paintings by J. Turner & special exhibit of Friedrich's, "Winter Landscape," - two of our favorite painters
London: Trafalgar Square - constructed in 1830's. Rallies & public meetings here. Statue of Lord Nelson (1842) on top of column.
National Gallery: One of the greatest collections of European paintings (1260-1900). Saw a special exhibit of Goya's, "Maja."
