Cape Ann Whale Watch, '13

In June of 2013, we enjoyed a fantastic Cape Ann whale watch out of Gloucester, MA, thanks to a Christmas gift from GrammaB. We had a beautiful day - sunny, 70's, and just breezy enough to keep it cool. We encountered a humpback whale name Satula and he entertained us the whole trip. Also saw a couple of Minke whales farther away, but Satula was the highlight - he waved swam near the boat, waved his fluke several times, and even showed his face a couple times which the narrator said was rare. Here are the uncropped, untouched originals in low res ... And while here, we had the good fortune to stay at the Sea Mist Cottage in Rockport, MA - It's simple quiet charm was just what we wanted and Rockport was a delight, as it retains it's beauty as a small seaport village while Gloucester itself is a bit more developed.
