SMC swept a doubleheader from Bentley, winning 9-5 in game 1 as Hillary earned her first college win and 6-3 in game 2 as MegO pitched a great game after closing out game 1 in the 7th for Hill after KellyE pitched out of a jam in the 6th. Lindsay went 4-4 in game 1; MegC, MegO, and KellyE all had 2 hits; Kate had a nice sac bunt, an rbi single, a run scored, and paired with AshleyH to gun down a would-be tripler as KellyL applied the tag in the defensive gem. AshleyH led off game 2 with a loooong home run; Kate & Heather (3 for 3) each added triples and both scored; MegO had 2 more hits; and KellyL/Lindsay/Heather combined on a 5-3-2 double play as the defensive gem.

Tough sun for the outfielders and the photographers -- I shot out of the shade into the light with a mix of dark and light backgrounds, so the images are kind of randomly lit ... I took a 2.5 second detour during warmups to blast off a flipbook of a grounder being fielded -- images over here. Entertaining to see another D300 stalking the sideline ...
