MegO is a captain and senior on the St. Michael's College Purple Knights, splitting her time between the mound and firstbase. She's had (having) a heck of a career at SMC, and here's a closer look at MegO in mid-game motion for the fans in the stands.

The beast will shoot at 6 frames per second without the external power pack -- and that's the setting used here, so you're looking at approximately 1.32 seconds worth of action ... I don't use this continuous fire mode much, as it chews up memory incredibly fast and I prefer my own timing with a single 1/640th of second setting in shutter priority mode to capture the instant of interest, but for a series like this, the D300's abilities are great fun. Shot with vibration reduction active and from the monopod to reduce camera shake along the way ... Tried to keep the framing format consistent throughout the 8 images to give a sense for distance traveled and relative timing.
