Got invited to the home opener for the SMC women's hockey team against Buffalo State at Cairns. Always a pleasure to see Kelly Rose and Meghan, two of Kater's former teammates from SMC softball, out on the ice and an equal pleasure to talk with their families in the crowd! Great action -- the teams battled through a 0-0 first period before Buff slipped ahead 2-0 and held on for the win at that score. I shot from the press box at 3200 asa and down around 1/250th, so the images have some grain and blur, but they're still fun ... and I love the pink tape on the sticks for breast cancer awareness!
