Are they macro portraits of a cat with an attitude, or more simply, tangible evidence that someone's been pestering the cat ... again ... Then again, maybe non-macro can be fun, too ... and yes, if you yawn at a cat long enough, it will eventually yawn back just to get you to quit it ...
Alas, after a brief perplexing downward spiral in health, Madeline was diagnosed (2/10/06) with severe kidney failure and had to be hospitalized on IV therapy, with her life literally hanging in the balance. Madeline tried her best to recover and we tried to help with spoon feeding, giving her water by hand, even twice daily subcutaneous fluid treatments. She showed glimmers of her personality as we enjoyed seven more weeks of her company -- then her liver began to give out and it was time to let her go. Madeline curled up for the final time on March 31, 2006. We will miss her terribly.
