Once I set my mind on taking Curling photos, I found the Green Mountain Curling Club on the web, contacted them, and got myself invited to drop in to take pictures. They curl in Morrisville, VT -- about an hour from me -- and the drive was worth it. Nice people, fascinating game, and a grand new thing to photograph. Thanks folks!!

Clearly, a first time shoot for me - The lighting was a challenge for the zoom (I switched to the 85mm later in the visit) -- and I've got to do better with the white balance, the angles, and anticipating the action. Plus, I don't know the game well -- so relevant or witty captions are a huge challenge! :-) Nonetheless, it's a good start.
