I got to to see Castleton State College Softball take on UMaine Farmington on "Strike Out Cancer" Day in 2014 (hence the pink trim and white tees, rather than the classic green unis). Castleton came away with a pair of wins, 9-1 and 4-0. Enjoyed seeing Stephanie (MVU) from our Summer Oranges and Pitching Clinic as well as Katie (MVU) and Ruby (Fairfax) both from Winter Pitching Clinic -- all three had good days, with Stephanie anchoring the defense behind the plate in game 1 and at 1st Base in game 2, Katie getting the win on the mound in game 2, and Ruby drilling a pair of hits in the opener. Well worth the drive! Naturally, I took some pictures! My first softball photos of the spring and my rustiness shows in my timing on the batting photos, but it was wonderful to back on a sideline in the sun with the camera in hand amidst good people and dedicated players.
