Got to see former MVU all star Stephanie Sylvester and her Castleton Spartans' softball teammates take on Skidmore in March of 2012. The first game was a scoreless battle into the 4th, before Skidmore finally broke through for the win. The Spartans bounced back, winning the second game. Stephanie, the starting catcher, was solid behind the plate for the Spartans and was 2 for 4 on the day with a double and 4 RBI. She's adapted to the college game and it was great to see her play -- and so much fun that her family and Dakota & Sommer, teammates from High School, were also in the crowd cheering her on. Well worth the 180 mile round trip to see an athlete from our community compete at the next level. Naturally, I took some pictures!
