The Bodie ODD FELLOWS LODGE, No. 279
(IOOF), used the upper floor of this building.
The lodge was instituted March II, 1878, by the
Grand Master Brother Charles H. Rendell
and later consolidated with the Bishop Creek
Lodge at Bishop. The first floor was used by
H. Ward, who constructed the building in 1880
to house his undertaking business.
