We had the coldest and snowiest December since we moved here in 2001. It only got above freezing six days. It looks as though we may have a repeat of last year when we had snow on the ground for over two months. We have only seen button and spike bucks since the beginning of hunting season. The last photo is of two of the three young bucks that have broken antlers. Late in the afternoon Jan 7th, we were thrilled to see two of the larger bucks return. I believe the nine point is the one that I have been calling Spikey, I'm certain the six point is also part of our herd. On the 9th a third larger buck showed up, a 5 point with a broken antler tip. We didn't see him before hunting season. The herd we feed has grown, I would guess that it numbers close to 20.
