Possum again
It looks like it is talking to the corn. I can't see any teeth, at least not like the raccoons have.

Possum
Yet another first...the first time I have seen one in the middle of the day. It's actually pretty cute, isn't it?

"Spikey" again
He is such a poser, and one of my favorite subjects.

The Eight Point Buck
This is the buck that may be our beloved "Spikey". He is the only buck we have seen since hunting season. He certainly is comfortable with the rest of our herd. We have ten does (7) and fawns (3) that show up regularly for corn.

Male Red-Bellied Woodpecker
We are now using only one suet feeder. The birds take turns, or share if they fit, but most our happy with the leftover corn, or bird food thrown directly on the ground.

Tom Turkey
This guy has the fattest beard I have even seen. He and the Jake below are regularly showing up with the hens.

Wild Turkey
The turkeys have been coming on a regular basis...when they do, everything else seems to clear out. We have had up to 22 turkeys here at one time this year, it is very unusual for them to come this close to the house. I've only seen it at mating time in the spring in the past.

Amazing icicles
Initially I couldn't figure out why the icicles were pointing towards the living room...then I realized the snow blanket was sliding off of the roof which caused them to curve inward.

Sliding snow from the outside
We didn't get the fascia or gutters done...it may be a good thing, the gutter on the southern side of our living room is really a mess. This is the front deck, facing the NE.

The snow blanket
We finished our roof over project this past summer...just in time as it has really helped. This is what we see from out bedroom.

The Christmas storm arrives!
Boy did it ever! I have never seen a snow "rope" before. This hung in for at least 2-3 weeks. Our snow usually disappears in a few days. This was taken from inside our sunroom as you can see from the reflections. It is on the south side of the house facing the hollow.
