Manaroa is a remote hamlet at the south base of Mt Stokes in the Marlborough Sounds, north end of the South Island of New Zealand. Access is by an endlessly windy road around Keneperu Sound, unsealed for a considerable way.
I stayed there for over a month courtesy of good friends Ralph and Mary.
