Native Thyme (Ocimum tenuiflorum)

best viewed at original size

This native herb in the mint family grows wild in disturbed situations across northern Australia and elsewhere.
I don’t know of anyone using it locally as a herb. It is reported that in India and Thailand it is also known as Holy Basil and is used as a medicinal plant and to make herbal tea.

Very different from Thyme used as a culinary herb here. But yes, same as Tulsi which I use as tea. Great to see a large mass growing wild.
