Cadaghi (Corymbia torrelliana) cultivated

The annual shedding of old bark is a feature of many smooth-barked eucalypts.
Cadaghi’s natural occurrence is on the fringe of rainforests in north Queensland, but this attractive fairly-small tree is widely cultivated.

Is this a young tree Don, always fascinating when the bark peels off.

Must be related to either our Sycamore of Crape Myrtle trees; when it gets very hot and dry, the bark blisters and comes off in sheets
