Tumoulin Forest Reserve has a history of intense logging.
In recent years, its value as featuring an endangered ecosystem and as home for the Vulnerable Yellow-bellied Glider (Wet Tropics) has been recognised – but a recent State government wanted to log it again.
The glider and logging are scarcely compatible – it is in part due to the past logging that it is as rare as it is.
