Francis was a true gentleman with superb talent and I was fortunate to have numerous conversations with him over the years while working at MIA from 1986 to 2000. I also knew his wife Alyce at MIA and I extend my sincere condolences to her and the family. He died on December 8th, 2005, at the age of 84.
