Catherine "Cathie" M. Reid lived at 650 W. 50th Place in Hialeah which wasn't that far from my neighborhood and she was in Class of 1966 at Hialeah High School.

Cathie and I both worked part-time at nights and on weekends at Sears in the Northside Shopping Center in late 1965/early 1966 and I gave her a ride home late at night a couple of times when her car was in the shop or something. We had some nice conversations on the way home and sitting in my car parked in front of her home on some cold winter nights.

She really was a sweet girl and I enjoyed her company. She passed away not too long after high school graduation and I was off in the Coast Guard and I never heard how she died. Her life was so short and she deserves to be remembered. Thank you for your friendship Cathie and may you rest in peace.
