1964 - the top half of a color Jordan Marsh full page ad in The Miami News

Miami, Florida

I really don't collect bra ads - this just happened to be in a section that I saved because of an article about the Beatles arriving in Miami two days before and them going out on Bernard Castro's yacht for a cruise in Biscayne Bay - the article is at: http://www.pbase.com/donboyd/image/92752158

Back to bras: I scanned this because color newspaper ads were fairly uncommon in 1964 and because there is only one Jordan Marsh address listed at the bottom (1501 Biscayne Boulevard), which indicates that their stores at 163rd Street Shopping Center and Dadeland Mall had not opened yet.

The text at the bottom of the ad states:

God, I'd forgotten all about 'petti pants'. They were like little nylon bermuda shorts with lace on the bottom, which your wore in place of panties for reasons unknown!
