While both Dotty and Johnny grew up in Miami, they moved to the Palm Springs section of Hialeah in the summer of 1957 and they were my great neighbors and friends until the late 1960's. Dotty graduated from Jackson Senior High in 1951 where she was a cheerleader. Johnny went to Technical High until he enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1947. After coming home from Korea where he was seriously wounded as a Marine, they married in the mid 1950's.
