1940's - a "Beach bus" on the mainland in Miami on N. E. 2nd Avenue

Miami, Florida

Thanks to Martha Pierson for supplying the photo. This view is looking north on NE 2nd Avenue. The "June Apartments" are on the left side past the bus and there is a tall Withers Storage building on the left side in the background and surely someone (Dick Besoli or Burl Grey? haha) knows exactly where that bar was? The buses on Miami Beach were known as "Beach buses" to distinguish them from the bus line on the mainland owned by the Pawley family. There's a sailor walking away from the camera on the left side. Amber Pies is on the right hand side and the seven story Dolphin Hotel is behind that. A closeup of the bus is in the next image.
