Every time I see a house built in 1946 I remember how stupid I was then (not to mention the further deterioration now in my 83rd year) :-)
A buddy of mine and I decided to build a house and sell it to make some money.
We located a lot and did some calculations (his Dad was a builder for help) but then found great trouble locating the necessary materials. WWII had just ended and building supplies were scarce. I quit the project for that reason, BUT that was the perfect time to go into that business!
