Also, the date is off: Ellen M. Gilmour (WG #34) earned her helicopter rating December 22, 1961. She began flying an airplane at age sixteen and helped organize air shows and races. She worked in Public Relations for Sun Line Helicopters in Florida and flew the helicopter around the airport to divert sea gulls. Gilmour later opened Sky Lark Helicopters.
